Incoming Florida Sheriff's Association President Throws His Support Behind Kat Cammack

Gainesville, FL - Building on a consistent and steady momentum of local and national endorsements, Kat Cammack, the Constitutional conservative candidate for Congress in FL-03, has landed an endorsement from Sheriff Robert "Bobby" Schultz. Sheriff Bobby Schultz is affectionately referred to as "America's Sheriff." He is the incoming President of the Florida Sheriff's Association. Sheriff Schultz earned the "Outstanding Service, Beyond the Call of Duty” Award from the Chiefland Police Department in 1997, as well as the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year of Levy County Sheriff’s Office in 2000. He also served the treasurer for the Florida Sheriffs Association Board of Directors. Sheriff Schultz was elected as Gilchrist sheriff in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. He has also served the Lancaster Correctional Institution, Chiefland Police Department, Levy County Sheriff ’s Office, Eighth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office, and Eighth Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Office. Sheriff Bobby Schultz gave the following statement: "Kat Cammack is the only person running for her district's congressional seat who actually has verified experience fighting for all the issues which are important to her district's constituents. I know Congressman Yoho and Kat both personally and professionally. There is not a back-down bone in her body and she is cut from the same cloth he is. "I am confident that all the folks running for this seat are fine, decent individuals with great intentions and credentials. However, Kat is someone who has been boots on the ground for 8 years, worked alongside a great Congressman like Ted, done her best, and fought for the people of the district. In my humble opinion, the choice is abundantly clear. There is no learning curve. Kat is more than ready to hit the ground running on day one and capable of carrying on Congressman Yoho's legacy. Within the local law enforcement community, Kat Cammack's campaign has previously been endorsed by Sheriff Robert McCallum, Jr. and has built a coalition of first responders spanning across the district, First Responders for Kat. On a national level, Kat has earned support from conservatives such as U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R, KY), "We Build the Wall" founder, Brian Kolfage, and the Tea Party Express.
