Mayor Gene Melvin Endorses Kat Cammack
Joins a number of very notable area mayors in endorsing Cammack, including the mayors of Newberry, Crescent City, and Alachua

Gainesville, FL - Kat Cammack, candidate for Congress in Florida's Third Congressional District, is announcing that Mayor Gene Melvin has endorsed her campaign for Congress. Mayor Gene Melvin is the mayor of the town of Brooker. He has served on the Brooker Town Council for 42 years and is also the President of the Brooker Athletic Association. Mayor Melvin joins a number of other notable area mayors in endorsing Kat Cammack's run for Florida's 3rd Congressional District, including Mayor of Newberry, Jordan Marlowe, Mayor of Crescent City, Brett Peterson, and Mayor of Alachua, Gib Coerper. Mayor Gene Melvin made the following statement: “Kat Cammack has a heart for our small, rural communities. She astounded me many years ago when she asked to have a meeting with me. No other elected official has ever done anything like this. She took her time to understand and create solutions for the issues facing our rural communities. "Kat Cammack is a super listener. With her, what you see is what you get. She does a wonderful job at supporting all walks of life and I trust that Kat will continue her effective work in Congress." In addition to several local endorsements and coalitions released by the campaign since Cammack announced her candidacy, she has been endorsed nationally by Senator Rand Paul (R, KY), as well as Brian Kolfage, the founder of 'We Build the Wall'.
